Ronan Shelton is an interdisciplinary ceramicist from Athens, GA. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Ceramics at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
With his work he creates a world which immortalizes the theater of the self. The transitory extremes of identity are celebrated and laughed at as they are displayed at their highest degree. Referencing archetypes as well as narrative and social performance, the work conveys a sense that these performances of selves hold a deep humanity within their strange and intangible dramas of pain and awe.
